Folly open for summer hours

The weather forecast is for a fine weekend, with Sunday 27 March expected to be sun-filled – ideal for a walk to see great views from the top of Flounders Folly. The tower is due open to visitors from 11am-4pm on Sunday (remember to put your clocks forward on Saturday night!). Reach the top and you can claim a free badge for your efforts 🙂

As ever, entry to the folly is free but any donations are appreciated to help with maintenance costs. If you’re starting your walk from the Callow Hill forestry pull-in, please park considerately and don’t block gates.

AND, if you fancy a tea, coffee or cold drink and cakes, before or after visiting the folly, there’s a new pop-up café nearby! A mile or so from the Callow Hill pull-in, Westhope Village Hall will be open from 11-4 to provide refreshments. The local community have bought the hall and money raised there will go towards its upkeep. If successful the café will become a regular attraction on Folly opening days. There’s parking at the village hall.
